An injured employee who has received an SEH physicians
recommendation to stay off work will do so on conditional "accident
leave" until a determination as to the compensability
of the accident is made by IWIF and the employee is deemed "eligible" by
the University.
The Universitys Workers Compensation insurance administrator,
IWIF, will determine if the accident is compensable and that
the employee is entitled to Accident Leave. If Accident Leave
is authorized, The employee must give to their supervisor
a completed and signed copy of the Medical Services issued
by SEH. The form must clearly state that the employee is
authorized to be off work due to the injury. The employee
must also be "eligible" in accordance with
Human Resources Management policies and procedures.
