Respiratory Protection
It is University policy that any employee that wears
a respirator enroll in the respiratory protection program.
The program requires that the following be completed
prior to using a respirator. 
- Contact the Occupation Safety and Health division
at 410.706.3490 for a hazard evaluation.
- Have each employee that will wear a respirator
evaluated by Student and Employee Health (SEH)
and have SEH fill out the Medical Evaluation
section of the University Respiratory Protection
Form. SEH's phone number is 410.328.8792. The
cost of the physical is the responsibility of
the employees department.
- Have each employee fit tested and trained on
respirator use by OS. Appointments can be made
by calling Steven Deck at 410.706.3490 or via
e-mail at sdeck@af.umaryland.edu.
Please have employees bring their respirator
and Respiratory Protection Form to the fit testing.
