 Chemical Waste Containers

Hazardous waste containers must comply with EPA regulations.  In order for hazardous waste to be stored in our Annex (EHS chemical storage facility) the container must be labeled "Hazardous Waste", dated, and have the constituents of the container spelled out in English.

At the end of the work day or experiment, be sure that any funnel that collects waste into a container is taken out of the container and then that waste container must be recapped.  Once that first drop of waste hits the bottom of the container, the container must be labeled "Hazardous Waste", with the start date of accumulation, and the name of the waste collected.
