Pine Street Koban

(COPS Building)

700 W. Pratt Street

Fire Box 13-23

The Pine Street Koban is a two story structure of ordinary construction.  Because of its limited size and only one exit, occupancy is limited to 5 persons.  The building has a fire detection system that sends a telephone message to the Pine Street Police Station.  The building is not sprinkled and has no standpipe or fire department connections.  The primary use for the building is offices for the University Police Department.  It has also been designated as an alternate dispatch center and emergency operations center (EOC) in the event the Pine Street Police Station cannot be used during an emergency.  Fire Department access to the building is available from the Pratt and Pine Street sides.
