1998

June 25, 1998 1:42 pm 0 Occupants 10 min Evacuation time Unannounced 2nd Quarter 1998 Fire alarm system cycles and stops after about 3 min. Building occupants call Dean's Office to see if it is a fire and if they should evacuate. No one evacuated.

September 24, 1998 14:36 80 Occupants 8 min Evacuation time Unannounced 3rd Quarter 1998 Fire alarm still does not sound long enough for occupants to realize the building needs to be evacuated.

December 2, 1998  14:27  325 Occupants 12 min + Evacuation time   Unannounced  4th Quarter 1998.  Building very slow to evacuate, fire alarm still poses problem because of short cycle. 

1999

March 15, 1999  15:01  #Occupants not reported 5 minute Evacuation time Announced to the Dean.  Many did not leave 4th floor.   People congregated on the front steps, and did not move away from the building.

April 2000  Building torn down, new building under construction.

2002

October 9, 2002  09:30  250 Occupants, 6 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Only the center stairwell was used and occupants evacuated into the lobby and out the front doors causing congestion by the main entrance, and particularly at the fire alarm panel.

2003

April 15, 2003  10:14  350 Occupants, 6 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced. 

September 23, 2003  14:09  600 Occupants, 5 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.

2004

March 29, 2004  10:20  400 Occupants, 6 minute Evacuation time, unannounced.  SSW emergency wardens did not report to Law School Lobby to report.  Most occupants still exited through the main lobby from the South stairwell.

September 17, 2004  10:10  400+ Occupants, 6 minute Evacuation time, unannounced.  Access to the main lobby was blocked during the drill forcing occupants to use the other stairwells.  Unfortunately, they all went to the West stairwell.  The East stairwell was not used.

2005

March 18, 2005  13:00  125 Occupants, 6 min Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Drill conducted at same time as Marshall Law Library.

September 20, 2005  19:25  150 Occupants, 7 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced. One person in wheel chair on 3rd floor in atrium elevator lobby.

September 19, 2005  12:58  400 Occupants, 7 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Most occupants still exited through the main lobby from the South stairwell.

November 28, 2005  13:08  400 Occupants, 5 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Much better at using stairwells.  Stairwell door West stairwell did not open when alarm sounded.

2006

March 27, 2006  09:30  300 Occupants, 5 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Drill went very well, occupants used NE and West Stairwells.

March 29, 2006  20:53  300 Occupants, 5 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Drill for night classes.

July 12, 2006  12:58  200 Occupants, 4 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.

July 12, 2006  19:51  20 Occupants, 4 minute Evacuation time, Unannounced.  Drill for night classes.
