300 S. Russell is a
three storied plus basement building of ordinary construction
housing the offices of Homeland Security of the School of
Law on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A private law firm is located
on the 1st floor. One open stairway on the
South end of the building and a second exit through a fire
escape at the North end of the building provide adequate
egress routes.
An interior fire alarm system consisting of manual
pull stations, audible/visual devices, and water flow
switches transmit a signal to the Pine Street Police
Station. There is
no means of egress for persons with disabilities.
Emergency lighting units are installed throughout.
There is no fire pump or elevator in the building.
Fire Department suppression equipment has access on
three sides of the building on the North, South and
East sides.
