Pathogens

Any work with pathogens/infectious agents (bacteria, viruses, protozoa, fungi, parasites) must be included on your research registration form when registering your work with the Biosafety Office.  Below are a few helpful links that provide information such as pathogen risk groups, recommended facilities, and microbiological safety practices for the use of various pathogens. All pathogens must be registered with the Biosafety Office. The use of large quantities of pathogens or high risk pathogens must be approved by the Institutional Biosafety Committee before work can begin.
