Fire Safety

Audit findings: Fire extinguisher is inaccessible

Adverse consequence(s): In ability to access the fire extinguisher and extinguish a fire

Corrective action: Remove equipment and material that blocks access to the fire extinguisher. In addition, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires that people who are expected to use a fire extinguisher at work are trained on how to use a fire extinguisher. Please contact the University Fire Marshal at (410) 706-3493 if you would like to have your staff trained on how to use a fire extinguisher.
